My mate,dyl,said I'm crazy when I told him I always say 'Hooba hop!' to myself whenever I move a knight.
He doesn't know this yet,but when I'm really having fun in a chessgame I also make car noises when moving a rook down a file.I say yummie or gobble gobble when I eat a pawn or piece.Bishops go 'swoosh','cause they're so fast.Queens giggle when you touch 'em.And when you move the king it lands on it's square with a mighty 'THUMP' because he's so big and fat.
It all adds to my enjoyment of the game.Am I insane?Am I loooooosing it?Or am I just a big kid 😀
Oh yeah,'Hooba hop!' is taken from a comic featuring a monkey-like creature with a 10 meter tail,and it says HOOBA HOP! 🙂

I do like to make random noises including 'jetsons cartoon', blackboard sounds, clock noises, Jeopardy music, explsions, lazers, phazers, inpulse cannons, small children weeping... and monkeys getting funky.
Other than that I just hum soft mood music depending on how I feel the game is going... You know you are in trouble when I start doing the 'doom' music from the original Star Trek...
No, I do not do it as loud as Jim Carey in 'Cable Man'.

Edit! I did move this thread to the general forum... but it would be good for RHP help and site ideas also. Would be funny if we could pick a sound scheem if we like at RHP for every chess move....

Bishop would have little search light on top....Knight would have the funky blue lights underneath it so it looks like it is floating....?????
