I work offshore and throughout the year spend approx 6 months away and 6 months at home (not in one go!) so I get to look after my children through on a fairly regular basis. There is no doubt in my mind that my wife (whose job is looking after our children full time) has a much harder job than me!
I simply do not have the patience to do it day after day. One day on my own I am a mess by the end and I certainly don;lt have time to do anything else. So good lcuk to you and respect!

PS Don't tell the wife.
Sal and I worked from home from the time our first was borne until I retired five years ago. Two girls, both in their thirties now, tell us they have mostly good memories of the early days. I remember the elder one threatening to run away after a brief disiplinary discussion and me helping her to pack! I just wish I could pick them up as they were then and tell them how much we love them. Damn hard work but too soon over.
