What is everyone doing to prepare for the inevitable outage?

Me and a few friends are going to get together at 20:00 GMT and light some candles. We are then going to stand vigil for the next 24 long hours, each of us taking turns clicking the "Refresh" button on our web browser.

As the minutes become hours, our clicks will surely become more frantic = "What if the FedEx van breaks down and the outage lasts another hour?", "What if an udersea cable snaps and we need to reroute via Singapore?"

In addition, 20 chessboards will be set up in a circle around us, each representing the soul of a dearly departed game.

I'm going on a school camp for the weekend. Plus, we're +10 hours GMT anyway, so we wouldn't get the outage until tomorrow. Other than that, nothing.

Oh, I'm getting pissed tonight. Fun in the (night) sun.

Luckily I had the forethought to be born on this day some 27 years ago, so I hae a party to go to, and lots of old friends to see. It's all about planning you see....

I've decided to look into getting what some people call "A Social Life". Not sure what type to get though. I've asked for advice on these forums, but nobody appears to have had any experience with this phenomenon.

Ialso had the forethought to arrange a weekend in the recording studio so I won't be around anyway. Instead I have to stay deep underground for 24 hours listening to several hundred takes and retakes whilst me fingers bleed and I argue with the rest of the band. Ahh, I'm so looking forward to it...

I am making the whole site of RHP 'available offline'.

I will be keeping a list of forum posts, links... and my replies. When I come back... I will post them all... and even SVW will say, "What a Spammer!"

Not sure, although I do not drink anyone under the age of 16 as a rule (they need time to develop "body"😉 😀
