Is it one you're making yourself? I scanned something in color and it was huge. I rescanned it in black and white and it was much better.

There's actually an option in the program to reduce file size I believe. Failing that, reduce the resolution of any pictures you include in the document.

I looked at the Help link on the toolbar for Adobe Acrobat Distiller and was able to find how to compress the files. I was going to cut and paste it in here but it is too much. Look for "Applying compression and resampling to PDF files". I believe it was page 138.
You could try looking there. Hope this helps.

Usually I clip the corners of with a pair of scissors, but you have to make sure there's an adult helping you. Then using some sticky-back-tape, fix them on the other side so that there's no wastage. Now, here's one I did earlier...

Deleting can be a great way to really compress a big file. Be warned! Its quite a lossy method of compression though.

It's currently 100%, so it helps to commit as much to memory as possible.
