@Ghost-of-a-Duke saidI’ve heard that or Nero, ‘cause he just fiddles around.
Thank goodness you weren't playing Napoleon. (He cheats).
@Torunn saidThe thing is, there was no ‘before the big bang’. Time started with the singularity.
It still leaves the unanswered question - how did it all begin, from the very beginning, before the Big Bang, the very first thing that happened. That's unsettling if we don't believe in a greater power.
I believe I m a theist which gives me essential peace of mind.
I absolutely understand that being a theist gives you peace of mind, but ‘how did it all begin’ before God? Who/what made your God?
@Pianoman1 saidEverything needs to be explained, if it ever will. If I believe in a superior or sovereign power, I can settle for that, I will leave it like that and hopefully have peace of mind.

@KnightsChoice saidDo you know more than I do? I don't claim to know, not even believe, but I hope and trust there is more to life than just this one. You don't know either, it just doesn't make sense to you to accept a theory that you can't prove. There are people - scientists, mathematicians etc etc - who can explain it but I can't answer any questions.
I don't understand life and even more so death but attributing it to something that isn't there doesn't make much sense. If I tell you to tell your god to show me he is real could he do that?
This probably is the wrong forum but this is as far as I can go.
