The thing is, there was no ‘before the big bang’. Time started with the singularity.
I absolutely understand that being a theist gives you peace of mind, but ‘how did it all begin’ before God? Who/what made your God?

Everything needs to be explained, if it ever will. If I believe in a superior or sovereign power, I can settle for that, I will leave it like that and hopefully have peace of mind.

Every one of us have our own understanding of what life is, why and how. It's all I can say and trying to rationalize I feel would be wrong.

Do you know more than I do? I don't claim to know, not even believe, but I hope and trust there is more to life than just this one. You don't know either, it just doesn't make sense to you to accept a theory that you can't prove. There are people - scientists, mathematicians etc etc - who can explain it but I can't answer any questions.
