Just over two years for me. Previous one lasted about 3 years, in reality a bit less but I stuck with it until it just wouldn't charge anymore. Had to buy this one in Colombia which is frustrating at times because I can't download some apps based in the UK like my banks app. Probably a way to do it but I'm too lazy to figure it out.
Anyway, I think 2/3 is pretty standard? Unless if comes you're in the mentally of having to get a new one every time your favorite brand releases an update.
@A-Unique-Nickname
gonna get a flip phone next time around
prolly later than sooner
twenty years of upgrading and "the next best thing" i'm gonna fetch what i need rather than what the rich man wants me to buy
@A-Unique-Nickname saidiPhone 12 Pro, had it 3 years and a few months.

Last one was an iPhone 7 and I had it for 5 years maybe more.
I don’t like upgrading.
An LG flip phone. Had it for about 4 years now. Second LG flip phone I’ve had AND I only got this one because in the winter as I was removing the snow from my driveway I must have dropped the old one and we’ll the snow blower “ate” it.π’. This one even has a SIM card. Not sure what that is but it’s got one.π€
@Great-Big-Stees saidI like flip phones because they remind me of the handheld communicators in Star Trek the original series.

Had a hand-me-down Samsung s7 until I couldn't load the obligatory government app during Covid. Bought a Blade A51 for one-sixth the price of my husband's gee-whiz Samsung S20. There's only 3 unimportant things the Blade can't do and none of them bother me in the least. People who swallow the whole update nonsense are mugs.
@Drewnogal
Then just recharge itπ
I think my last phone got ate up by my riding lawnmower, it disappeared and doesn't seem to be anywhere in the lawnπ
I called T Mobile and asked them to call it and see what they find and they said no good, it is giving an error code.
So they had a deal going on the Samsung 24 to replace my older 20.
Pretty much the same phone but the camera is wildly better.
@divegeester saidWhen I got my first cell phone, my first flip phone, the first thing I did was, “flipped it” open and said, “Beam me up Scottie” but sadly nothing happened.π’ I brought it back to the Bell store and told them it didn’t work. The employee changed the battery but still no luck. I decided to keep it anyway as it did function as a phone…the second reason I got it.π²π
