@Torunn said@Torunn,
Perhaps somebody in the family or a near friend could take over the games for a while, not the account, just keep the games running. That may be what venda meant.
That is what I just said that would have to be approved by Russ, I don't think someone can just take over the games, as that would be 3rd party involvement in an on going game, which to the best of my knowledge is against the site rules.

A played a few games against someone who had taken over an account; I think the original owner had passed away.
At the time when it was announced (I can’t remember where, maybe in a club), I felt a little impinged as they were clan games. But the new player was not as good as the original one, so I abandoned my principle and cracked on with it 😄

Your thin veneer of whimsy seems to have peeled off completely.

@Very-Rusty saidHmm, maybe Russ should consider adding something about such scenarios and designated backup players to RHP's "rules as written"?

Or if someone croaks or becomes permanently incapacitated, should their games be considered forfeited as they would be in OTB matches or tournaments?
@Arkturos saidA new rule would have to me made in my opinion. We have a standing rule now about no 3rd party involved in a game, or nothing to be said about an on going game as to help either side.

@Arkturos saidGhost chose comedy to assert his opinion of you, instead of being nasty, which seems your choice.

A very easy choice to decide which is worse. I think they call this "being hoisted by one's own petard."
@Wycombe-Al saidEnemies? I didn't think you had any. 😉
based on the subs since i joined Russ has probably only made about £500 from me being here which i think is great value for the 20 years of chess and the friends (and enemies i have made 🤣🤣}

Despite all your copy-pasting of articles about woke issues, over the years I really haven't noticed anything likeable about you.
