Too long, it seems. On my side, RHP forums have not been life-improving for me.
@Kevin,
Just avoid the negative people, you know who they are everyone does. 😉

I know! And what's really weird is that one claims to work in mental health, and the other aspires to do so.

@Kevin,

Right you are makes one wonder doesn't it. 😉

i fetch all my mental health
on the corner of twelfth and main
that's where tweeter and the monkey man
help to keep me sane
they have the precious baubles
to mesmerize my mind
and that single side effect is null
as i was already going blind

Yeah, it takes a while to determine that someone might be hapless and really is not in charge of the way they behave.

@Dave,
Could it possibly be that some people are illiterate around computers, I might be a Prime example, but trust me when I tell you no one makes moves for me but me.
I don't think it is good to make accusations which may prove out to be wrong.

-VR
My comment was not intended as an accusation and I wasn't suggesting that anyone is breaking any rules.
You know as well as me that some of the questions on the forums seem a little naive for players who have been here for years.

If one clicks on a players' full profile,it tells you when they joined.
Of course,it may be a different individual making the moves( e.g a sibling)

The aforementioned appears to me like you are suggesting a sibling etc., etc., may be making the moves for them.

I think it might be that they are Computer illiterate as I myself am. Even after all this time I don't know my way around like most do such as yourself and others.

Last upgrade for example I couldn't find how to find my friends list. Remember there are have been a number of upgrades over the years and you know this as well as I do.

Fair point I suppose, but what I meant was maybe a player has had enough of playing or has become ill,and has a nephew or something who is interested in chess so he lets him take over his profile.
As an example,I don't think the timeout rules have changed over the years but we still see questions about the rules on a regular basis from players who you would expect to be familiar with them if they've been on here for years.
If an innocent comment intended to help answer a question has caused offence i apologise.I withdraw the comment you have interpreted not as intended.

@Dave,
I can be corrected if wrong, but I don't think anyone could take over another's account especially without running it by Russ.

I am not about to withdraw anything I said, in the future be more careful with your wording would be my humble unsolicited advice to you, Sir.

His wording was fine. Your comprehension, not so much.

I have nothing more to add to this discussion.

Perhaps somebody in the family or a near friend could take over the games for a while, not the account, just keep the games running. That may be what venda meant.
