@ogb saidIt came online 2001 I think.
What is the date this website first came online? How many names does it have, I've heard it called "theimmortalGame" Also, is it in England? Thanks
There ahve been four sites (Red Hot Pawn, The Immortal game, Chess at work and?) , but I think at least some of them were discontinued. It has been in the FAQ...it isn't any more

@ogb saidI believe the majority of us do, did you have a suggestion? rookie54 has already given you the @Russ which brings you to his Profile page. I believe you can learn most of what you want to know there. Anything more you can always go to "Send

You can access this site using RedHotPawn.com and DailyChess.com only. All the old alternative brands have since been retired (see Thread 180281 for one instance of this).
Previous alternative names were RedHotChess, TimeForChess, ChessAtWork and a promotional brand created for a book launch (The Immortal Game - A History of Chess by David Shenk), PlayTheImmortalGame. These alternative brands provided a different color scheme, which are still available in theme settings.
Also, is it in England?
Hosted in US🇺🇸 developed in the UK🇬🇧 This has been the case since launch.

@ogb
follow this link to see how it looked back in the very early days.
Russ was Ruzz back then, and Chris was Chrismo.

And here's another link to the early site, with hopefully some functions that still work so you can browse around a little, and even get a peek of what our original 'forum' looked like.

These links take you to a website called the 'wayback machine', which is kind of interesting. I have not actually used it for ages so was surprised to see it is still there.
Highlight the link then right click it and click where it says to open the link.
By the way, compare how things were in the early days to what we have now, and you will see that Russ and Chris has put in some serious time and effort to bring this site along to what it is now! We have seen many changes and improvements over the years! Our 19 year anniversary is fast approaching!
