Doom made me almost crap me britches one evening. Before I had a computer at home I used to play it into the weee hours of the evening. There was a level where you really had to get trucking early in some base and the skello rocket boys were tough enough to get past... blasting blasting and running for dear life.
I finally, after getting fragged seve ...[text shortened]... cked.
Once Quake came around, Doom seemed pretty lame... but it was much faster paced.
P-
Creeping along hallways and things and then you hear running behind you and then screaming and what-not. If I remember correctly you had to goggle things, one you could see an alien and the other you could see the predator...but not both at the same time.
And the alien could crawl along the ceiling and walls as well.
Very well made. I have to admit.

Creepy as hell, that freaked me out good and proper. Playing the Alien in AvP2 was amazing, it gave you a really good idea of just how utterly powerful and dangerous they really could be. If the AI for the aliens in the game was half as good as a human playing the alien, nobody could ever have finished the game playing the marine or the Predator.
