i hope they don't allow plot and character development to get in the way of the sfx...that's a mistake Orson Welles made with Citizen Kane😛

I love doom, I still play it sometimes and I can play all of its music on my guitar🙄
I doubt the movie is going to have a lot of conversation in it...

Doom is indeed a classic! Not only was it a technological revolution when it came out but it made a deep impact in culture (at least geek culture). Doom 3 set a new standard for graphics quality and realism... oh I love these games!

Movie will probably suck.

I got Doom3 for my xbox. its super cool. Can't wait for the movie. I hear they got Vin Diesel.

Doom was great. Doom 2 was better. Doom 3 is decent.

Half Life 2 is absolutely incredible.

Doom made me almost crap me britches one evening. Before I had a computer at home I used to play it into the weee hours of the evening. There was a level where you really had to get trucking early in some base and the skello rocket boys were tough enough to get past... blasting blasting and running for dear life.

I finally, after getting fragged several times (I always played on hardest levels, and entered this level with very little ammo) I made it to a new door and opened the door.

Friggin Pig Dude was right there as I opened the door and nearly had a heart attack at the age of about 26. Geesh! That game rocked.

Once Quake came around, Doom seemed pretty lame... but it was much faster paced.

I still have it on my PC somewhere, and I still play it on my mobile phone.
Let's hope they do as good a job as they did with resident Evil.
Or at least let's hope they put Milla Jovovich it it!

No, it'll suck major ass. The plot is a lá Resident Evil, not DOOM. It involves a virus hitting Mars, not the original gateway to hell. So, it's gonna suck big time. Sorry to rain on the parade.
