My nephew's idols are the police. Are you saying I should knock them over?

Agnositism (sic!) is the middle way. The ONLY way.
I guess this should be in the Spirituality forum, but since it’s here let’s carry on.
There is no greater child abuse than to stuff Creationism into children’s heads. Or any religious view. Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny are just harmless fun that children grow out of. Telling children the Universe is only 8,000 years old, or that Jesus is the ONLY way, or that Muhammad (pbuh) is an infidel, is traumatic religious propaganda that twists their minds for a lifetime. Let children choose for themselves. As Kahlil Gibran so beautifully says:

“Your children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you,
And though they are with you, yet they belong not to you.
You may give them your love but not your thoughts,
For they have their own thoughts.”

Thank you.
Not only did I discover Khali Gibran today but that Lebanon has ski resorts.

Great words!

“The Prophet” by Kahlil Gibran is one of those life-changing books. I thoroughly recommend it.

And I didn’t know Lebanon had ski resorts!

It’s called reality check. Idols are for people who can’t deal with reality.
