So you are playing a game against a new member and become a little concerned that he might be the reincarnation of Trackhead.
Here's what you do. Message the player saying something like, "Did you hear about that fool Trackhead! Honestly, some people have no dignity or class. I bet he's really rubbish at chess."
If the person says, "I have no idea what you are talking about", they are probably okay.
If he/"she" says, "Yes! I laughed like a drain!", they are almost certainly okay.
But if they say, "Trackhead was a misunderstood genius. A little arrogant, yes, but who wouldn't be when blessed with such gifts? He is the rightful number 2 on this site and everyone else is an engine using ****..."
Then I think we may have our man.
