Thought RWingett and some others might want to look it up, see: http://slate.msn.com/id/2109135/

Bad news: Besides the -50 below zero summer temperatures, it also takes about two years to immigrate, meaning you might have to sit thourgh another Democratic debacle in 2006!

I am thinking maybe Eurpoe or New Zealand. Alex and I would love to live in one of those lovely places.

That's if you do it legally. All you really have to do is show up as an illegal stowaway on a flight from ANY country (especially from the mid-east) that has strife, claim that you are persecuted, and they will get you a place to live and a cell phone to boot....ain't socialism great!?

You think that would work for somebody from the US? Maybe RWingett could say that he has a well-reasoned fear of being burned at the stake as an atheist when the American Inquistion starts. A place to live and a cell phone, is that all? All the middle eastern immigrants around here got a convenience store, for Allah's sake!

The fury of my life is that I was born two years too early to have automatic dual citizenship with the U.K. My mother is English. Parliment passed an act, without retroactive effect, permitting citizenship to automatically pass to the first-born abroad through the female line two lousy years after I was born.

If I were born two years later, I would have an EU passport. I could be living in Paris right now. With full rights to employment, etc.

Since I can throw a rock and hit the Canadian border, I guess I'll just stay here.
