How's everyone finding the new server...

The new server has been up continuously for four days now. For those
that use it on a regular basis, many times per day, how is it feeling? I
don't get the chance the use the site to play chess very often so even
though I can tell it is significantly quicker, I can't say that I know how
much difference it actually has made to heavy users of the site.

The main benefit to me is that it doesn't keep crashing!!

If you get a moment, let us know your thoughts...

Chris, the new server is FANTASTIC. I am a very "heavy user". I have
to admit I'm addicted to RHP. Now it is significantly faster and I don't
walk up the walls because it is down again. You did a very fine job!
I'm very grateful.

I really don't use it enough to give an informed opinion - perhaps
when I start playing a few more games I might be able to let you
know ;-)

It is perfect...so far I have not seen that message "Hey!! Where's my
pawn?" one time!!

I've noticed a major improvement in speed. It takes much less time
to get the various pages downloaded and on screen now, compared to
before. THANKS!!

Excellent! Faster loading times, and NO down time since you made
the switch. So (come on, you KNEW this was coming...)-- let's go,
people, let's cough up the cash to repay Chris and Russ and keep this
side thriving for years to come. And ANOTHER thanks to the

everything seems to work great thanks for the effort you put into helping us out.

Good stuff. I was hoping for that kind of response! I have to say,
I'm amazed everyone didn't up and leave because of the downtime
nightmares we've had recently.

Even better news is that now it looks like we have got the server
problems mostly under control, we can concentrate on making
improvements to the site again (the todo list is quite long...)

everything is running fantastic!

Well, even though the server is US based, and Chris and myself are in
the UK, the speed improvement is amazing. Suddenly, browsing the
forums is a pleasure (rather than the snooze inducing tedium it used
to be) All I can say is, thanks to everyone who stuck with us through
the bad times a couple of weeks ago.

Thanks to you all (this smiley happy posting has nothing to do with
me just getting in from the pub...honest)
