Nykter alkoholist is what it is called.
I think that might be different. The term "dry drunk" refers specifically to behaviour and not more broadly to whether someone has stopped drinking. I'd hazard a guess that nykter alkoholist is nearer to "recovering alcoholic" or "recovered alcholic". So, maybe I'm right when I say I gather there's no word in Swedish for "dry drunk".

No, not that I have heard of.

If you are 68 now that means you gave up drinking at age 36. So a drinking career of about 18 years. That makes you a novice booze hound or talented amateur at best.
t-g you would have to know when I started drinking which you don't, which in turn make your numbers and my age incorrect. Digging for information??? 🙂

Still Very Proud to have not had a drink in 32 years come March 22/24! Those of you who have never had the problem don't know a thing except for what you may read in a book which doesn't cover everyone who has had issues with alcohol.

And what is special about Bradford?

Well I heard that some beaches there and in Tobago have been “soiled” so unless it, the meetup happens away from them I won’t be, hypothetically, attending.😲

He was trying to mention a "bad" place, I reckon. Bradford is 32% South Asian. He probably did it a bit unwittingly.

One of the hate-mongers says he is based in Trinidad. He was asking VR very inappropriate questions & making statements about "Your culture" etc

I dated a man from Trinidad in the mid 1960's in London - very social, easy-going people. Today many of these friends live in Canada, Florida and some in Sweden.
