nonetheless, it IS ETHICAL advice.

And ethically, I'd say that intentionally planning to intoxicate her, along with yourself, in order to permit -- what? -- to occur, is a recipe for disaster. The worst case ...[text shortened]... scenario isn't meaningfully better from what could be achieved sober.

This is a bad idea.

Well, recently I met a girl, let's call her K. We met, and became friends. That's the story so far.

Somehow, there is chemistry between us. We, well...flirt, you could say. I should be asking her out. But, the thing is, I dunno if she's being serious. If I did, it oculd ruin a good friendship. It could not.

My dilemma is serious. We have been ...[text shortened]... ds for a while now, and I don't know if she might get impatient or something. Please help me!!
Don't girls ask guys out over there? 😕

Yes they do.

Some of your advice from all of you is good. However, getting her drunk?? We're 14 and 15, for god's sake!!

I was gonna ask her out today, but...tonsilitis struck. Dammit!

Yeah well I agree with padfoot on this one. Be careful. Like he said in the girlfriends for idiots thread, you almost always end up with a broken heart or a slut.

Back when I was 14, I didn't even know what a girl was; late bloomer I was :-)

Never avoid a broken heart.

Unlike most things, once fixed, a heart really will work "better than new"...

Come to think of it, not sure why you'd want to avoid sluts either... 😀 😉

Just relax and be yourself. You *want* to ask her out? Then do it. It's OK

No ways man.
I met the love of my life when we were both drunk in a jacuzzi.

Never underestimate the power of alcohol induced flirting.

Dudes your forgetting the crucial thing here...

ask one of her girlfriends if she actually likes you.

A) then you'll know
B) her friend will go and tell her you asked so she knows your interested, and then the balls in her court. you seem nervous. So let her know and let her make a move.

which is precisly why that isn't sooo good an idea...even in this "new age" the guy still needs to have the balls 🙂

Seriously though, that brings up a good point, I'd add to it though by pointing out that you dont have to look like a coward if you ask more bold questions like "I'm thinking of asking your friend out on date, do you know what her favourite restaurant is?" (bearing in mind that I haven't a clue any more what would be the applicable question to a teenager)
