Serrendipity and I came on to the forums yesterday with a simple message.

We said people should behave with common decency and courteousy on these publically accessible forums.

Since then we have been repetively and viciously attacked by a small group of users who feel that they have some god-given right to behave and talk in a manner that most people would find offensive.

Maybe I'm crazy. Maybe people don't have an obligation to treat their fellow man with decency and respect.

I'd like to hear from some of the other users and not the 3 or 4 "usual suspects" who have stayed up all night berating me for voicing an opinion.

Does the average user think it's fine for people to post an endless stream of smut-filled, rascist, mysognistic, and hurtful messages?

I think the staff of this site does a great job of monitoring the forums.
If you don't care for a certain topice or thread, don't read it. Why don't you "Police" yourself in that regard?

Here's the thing. If Rag or Phlabby or Nordie or absolutely anyone who's on all the time had the same message, I might listen and give it thought, especially if they included themselves, etc. But to not actually be a part of the forum community and then come tell us how we should change to suit you ... well, I would be banned if I expressed more clearly how much lower than worm puke I think people like that are.
