I can play thousands of games.
But not with high quality,
and not without a massive amount of time outs.
108 is not a lot. The secret is management of the games efficiently . Nearly half of my games consist of long hauls and 7 day TO's.
So now I have 7 folders called: Inbox, 0, 1, 3, 7,21 and archive. You can easily guess what numbers represent.
I prioritise 0 and 1 folders and mainly play them. I play the rest whenever I get the chance.
I agree with you about the quality. The blunders come naturally in 0 and 1 TO games.
However, I disagree with massive TO's. I never had a problem with TO. Maybe 3 or 4 so or maybe a little more.😛 That's all.

How much do you spend of each move? More or less than a game OTB? And what about those with a game load of 800 games? I don't think there is much of quality there. Their rating would sky rocket if they decrease to a smaller amount of games...
But the joy of RHP is that you decide for yourself. Quantity vs quality.
Originally posted by FabianFnasI have a life too and also married (with an angry wife apparently), school and everything going on but I am experimenting something for myself this month and getting as many moves as possible and reach 10000 moves. I am racing with Indosmart also for MAP of the month 😛 I still cannot believe how people get in 10.000 moves. They must have no life at all. But it's ok.

Anyway, the answer to your question: It depends. If my opponent is willing to move fast, I will too.
Nowadays, when playing against lower rated players I do not spend more than 5-10 seconds per-move unless the position requires so. It makes the game more fun both for them and for me. There's some sort of competitiveness going on there, sometimes I get in trouble and it can be fun to get of the trouble and win it. (No offense to anyone here. I respect every opponent.)
I have some games that lasts months and will maybe last a year. Check this game out for example started last summer, Game 3868412 and we played this game rather fast. (Decide the quality for yourself)
I also play in ICCF and I strictly play CC style. I have a game that started last year and still middle game.
I still get enjoyment. I use RHP as my chess club.
