Don't pay them. At some point they'll come around and then maybe they can fill out the cheques for you and...problem solved. OK there may be late charges and interest but you can't have your cake and eat it too eh?

Try this. Send the electricity cheque to the gas board. Send your water rates cheque to the credit card people. Send an unsigned cheque to the electricity. And accidentally post date the second cheque you send for the water rates. Oh... wait. You say being too weak is your problem? Ah. OK. As you were.

mary, since you have access to the internet
why not email a neighbor, local area friend or family member
to stop by to assist you? Do you have food?

marysson, whatever you do, don't let Grampy Bobby into your house. Put furniture against the doors. Ring the police. Hide in a cupboard. Bring your chequebook with you in case you regain your strength. 🙂

I have another idea and this is THE answer to your "problem". Ignore all previous suggestions and...nah forget it I could end up in jail.

Hey, marysson, and don't let me into your house either, but if you should get a cheque for my water rates from me in the post, do us a favour ring them and mention my name, and then stick the cheque in the bin.

If you owe British people money, get rid of your chequebook and get a checkbook. If you owe American people money, do the opposite.
