It might be what we in the former colonies call parallel parking. It's a tricky maneuver where you park between two parked cars by backing into the space between them. I've never heard of it called 'reverse' parking, but it's probably the same maneuver.

No. I am English. I was extremely drunk at the time, as I am now. That's why I mistakenly said 'reverse parking'. (I spent the next 36 hours reversing around a corner).
