Dan, I am willing to try to teach you some of the basics if you want, if I can. I am by no means a master at this game, but I know more than the basics and could maybe help you find your feet. My rating is 1256 because this character is used for "blitz" play (fast, no long thinking) but my origional character is ~1400 (see my profile) so I may be able to help you.
But if you want to play me you'll either have to challenge me or reset your maximum rating filter to above my rating because I can't currently challenge you. We can play unrated if you want.
