Friggin awesome! Northern lights over heidelberg, how cool is that????
It's kinda faint, so I couldn't take a picture, and the city lights are a bit annoying, but there's a green streak hanging over the city and a red/orange one over that. Woohoo! Thank you Nordlys, I would never have noticed it if I hadn't looked for them!
haha now I can go to sleep happy 😀😀😀😀😀😀😀
That was the coolest thing I've seen in a while, I hope I can see them again tomorrow night!

Is it possible to see them from Northern England?

PS providing there's no cloud of course.

Very rarely. Take a vacation farther north.

Too cold man. Sheesh. I saw an interesting documentary about Sweden tonight though.

We are currently discussing angie's sighting in an aurora chat. We are rather baffled, because the readings were not that high at that time, and I haven't heard of other sightings yet. But the description does sound like aurora. Anyway, the chances for Northern England are definitely good (edit: I am talking about tonight), so if you have clear skies, you should have a look. Watch out for a glow, an arc or beams in the north.

Awww. Too much cloud cover. Nevermind. I'll have to wait another ten years.

It's actually not that rare in Northern England. You just need to know when and where to look.

I wouldn't bother if I were you. I'm not worth it.

You'd better keep your eyes to the Northern horizon. 😉

That comment sounds a bit too suicidal to me...wait until I get a video camera, then you can go though with it. I'll be there to comfort you in your last moments on this dreadfully dull planet. Don't worry.

Maybe I should learn how to be a contortionist then. 🙂

That's even better! It'll be much easier to transfer the footage to the internet! You're a soon-to-be-dead genius!
