It was friggin wonderful...

500g lean mince
1 apple
about 4T cilantro
4 portabellini mushrooms
1 stick celery
1 jalapeno
1/4 onion
1t soy sauce
salt and pepper to taste

FINELY chop all the ingredients.
Mix everything together.
Make patties.
Fry the bad boys up, and then baste them when basically done with a mixture of olive oil, some chutney and Tobasco and flip them over, basting and quickly frying both sides for a sticky finish.

I also made a mushroom sauce.
Sauté 4 chopped portabellini and about a tablespoon of finely chopped onion for one minute and de-glaze with a shot of dry white wine.
Make roux, salt and pepper to taste, then stir in some fresh cream. Once it thickens, add another 2 finely chopped mushrooms. Add the sautéd mixture. Remove from heat.

Butter buns, slice of cheese at the bottom, sauce, slice of tomato, patty, dill gherks, bun.

Enjoy.

You know that fine American weapon, the M16 rifle, that you fire into the air after making a post? That uses 5.56x45mm rounds.

5.56x45mm.

Not inches.

Millimetre.

METRIC SYSTEM.

Musta been the lighting, cuz the only green thing on that cheeseburger-o-heaven was a few pickles.
Note the elixir of the gods in the background, Dogfish Head IPA straight outta Delaware...

The lighting? The lighting makes it look like it's got a half a pint of snot drizzled lovingly over it?

Jealous.
This shot was taken almost immediately after the two patties were removed from the grill, so they are still glistening. If snot that be, I, for one, will eat snot at least two or three times every week for the remainder of this season.

You eat two or three burgers like that a week?! You must be as big as a house! There's gotta be, like, fifteen hundred calories in that thing (is it low fat snot?)

Blood work: nearly perfect
Cholesterol: right in line
Bone density: equal to a 29 year-old male
Resting heart rate: high 40's to low 50's BPM
Nasal cavities: normal snot thresholds

Hah! That's nothing - I have the heart and lungs of an olympic swimmer (although I have to keep them in the freezer now as they were starting to smell a bit...)
