I can't tell reliably, though I think I can tell if it's a sativa or an indica by taste, smell, vision and touch (but not with any level of reliability). It would be a pain in the rear to try to gather the data to make a comparison of how prices have changed. The highest end stuff is still about 80 bucks per 8th, while the crap is still $50, or less ($35 even) for bad shake. The hash prices are similar, but for a gram, not an 8th.
Hmm... maybe we should round up some pot heads and put them into office.
I do know my favorite place has lowered their "Rush Hour Special/Happy Hour" from a 15% discount to a 10%, and that the manager had to really fight with the owner to keep that. The owner's not into Happy Hour.
All of this is complicated by the chaotic nature of the industry itself (the Feds are still out to get us, and so are the gangsters! The "manager" mentioned above took a bullet defending his store). It's also complicated by the fact that my financial resources have dramatically increased over the last year.
Look at that! A pothead who works hard and succeeds in a challenging economy while also addressing education deficits in the inner city!
And I agree with conservatives over liberals about half the time!
Get your arrogant tentacles the hell out of my life, you self-righteous suppressers of our inalienable right to pursue happiness!
If you're down with it, ignore that last sentence!
OK, off I go to grad school. I had to give up my Saturday mornings, but I'm cool with it...there's great honor in working hard and paying your own way.

2. The owner should put the screws to you deviant slackers and jack the price on everything but the chopped up dried dog turds being billed as 'Rush Hour Kush'. This protects his premium product and turns over his lower end product.
3. The owner needs a vest and some built in riot control. I suggest panic button activated CS/OS gas grenades and a couple of shotguns loaded with rubber bullets. All perfectly legal.
4. Look at that! A pothead who works hard and succeeds in a challenging economy while also addressing education deficits in the inner city! Bull. You're, at best, a professional student with delusions of grandeur. Ten years from now you'll be selling newspapers on the corner and collecting cans to buy a can of gold spray paint to melt your brain with.
5. I've dealt with your kind of self righteous scum before. Y'all yammer about government oppression until the firehoses and cattle prods come out and then you puss out and its some other guys problem. Fight the power!

Anything I need to watch out for?
I want a compact with good gas mileage, less than $25k with everything (so I don't want a $24,343 vehicle which will then go up in price when I need to consider the variables like features or whatever)

I went shopping again today. I looked at 2009 Corollas. The guy wanted to sell me one for $18,500 brand new (it was the S Trim, which means stiffer suspension for "sporty" uses). How's that sound? Kelly Blue Book gives an MSRP of $17,810. What should I shoot for? I'll probably make a purchase tomorrow (or at least get the paperwork to take to my credit union so they can do their loan paperwork and stuff).

Write yout congressmen, tell them how you feel about all this crap.
