After work today, I stopped by the store to pick up some groceries.
As I am loading the groceries in the back, I glance to the car next to me and there is a lady sitting in the driver's seat.
She has a full 1/2 gallon of chocolate ice cream in her hand, the top is off and she has it up to her mouth, pouring in the melted ice cream.
I had to laugh, I was thinking about taking a picture on my cell phone.
She happend to look over at me and catch me laughing, she started laughing also.
Then she rolled down the window and said "there are worse addictions to have, you know".
She put the top back on the carton and drove off laughing!

pendulums swing,
both forth and back...
always to the end,
and always on track...

americans are funky,
we're afraid of hunger...
it may signal the end,
of our world police blunders...

so we stuff our cake holes,
and sit on our lard ass...
make jokes of our fat,
because our reign iz past...

Must have a bluddy big hand to hold a full 1/2 gallon of ice cream!

It comes in a carton, you know.

I'm guessing you could hold a gallon of milk in one hand, too.

Yes, it is packaged in a carton, but this lady had it in her hand, no carton... really big hands.
(Don't destroy Adramforall's fantasy, it's all he has.)

In South Africa, by comparison, food items are shrinking fast. "Bite size" this. "Bite Size" that. My wife bought me some marshmallows the other day. I could use them as ear plugs. My daughters could use them as... well, I won't say.

What happened to taking a bite and still having enough left over for another bite?

In America, a quart of ice cream IS bite size.

Unless it's Ben & Jerry's. Then it's bite-plus-corn-syrup size.

they're shrinking portions here, too. used to be able to buy a gallon of most juices in walmart, now they just sell them in 64 oz size, max, so they can effectively raise prices by lowering item size. except for OJ, and cow juice.

$2 and up for most juices at 64 oz. ($4 and up if you buy two.)

but cow juice is $2.54 a gallon! OJ is $3.83. at the local (Silicon Valley) Walmart.
