Well from what I've "heard" you've been in places (a lot) where darts are played so you've got a leg up eh? 🤔 😉
I’ll have you know I’ve been frequenting places of song and dance ..... the only darts I throw are the occasional shift of the eyes when something or someone suddenly catches my eye 😉

Ya see, Stees, when one throws darts, both legs have both feet firmly planted. It's when the dart throwers get thoroughly sloshed that they lift up a leg

I disagree slightly. I thinking that letting go of the rest is what matters most and we should focus on that.
Dunno. For me, it's often the things that don't matter that make it easier to deal with the things that do.

    I’m still deciding, choosing between...

    - create a simple website from which I can blog
    - learn to play bass guitar
    - take up competitive swimming again

My resolution was to stop making resolutions, and then I realized that this was a resolution, so then I just got discouraged and gave up...………...and it's not even the new year yet.

How 'bout a combination of all 3?
A website about competitive bass guitar playing. 🤔

Competitive swimming as in open water swimming?

I love swimming and recently treated myself 2 private lessons to improve my front crawl, what a difference!

I'm still working on learning guitar.

I have an acoustic, but I have to force myself to work on it. Also not liking how it affects my fingertips, it makes my piano playing more difficult.

Why not try playing "by ear". 🤔 😉

    Yes open water swimming.
As with most things technique and form are critical.

I am a musical duffer I’m ashamed to say. I never learned anything musical at school nor since and as I’m generally quite competitive the months of repeated pain and incompetence would be a painful learning experience.

All credit to you for learning piano already; I know from my niece (who is at quite a high level) that it is a difficult instrument. I’ve heard guitar is easier, relatively speaking.

Stop drinking so much at parties and learn to do it before and after, otherwise, people will think you have a drinking problem

I have always enjoyed swimming in the Alantic ocean more so than in a pool. That was where I actually learned to swim at an early age. There was a group of us including a younger sister, it was so much fun wonderful memories.

    Get more sleep.

    Slow down.

    Stop, even.

    Honor my pace.
