somebody had never eaten oysters before and were to try then for the first time what would be the best way to have them? Is there even different ways to have oysters? Or do you just eat them as is? 😕

You can sautee them. You can fry them. You can bread them and then fry them. You can put them in a sauce over pasta. All kinds of stuff.

out the shell a squeeze of lemon, two chews and down the hatch..
must be fresh..(shells should be shut tight..hard to open)

Do you all eat mountain oysters in NZ? Oyster dressing is very popular around Thanksgiving and Christmas.

I don't think I have any sort of oyster sause laying around. 😕

That's a sin. Ply a knife down the side, prise it open and drop a little salt n lemon and let it slide down your throat...... enjoy!

If you eat them raw, you can use a cocktail sauce like you would wit shrimp.

Honey, you need to get a cookbook or two. You never gone get a good man unless you got a couple of well-used cookbooks. Experiment. Play around. The oyster is yo friend.
