I fully appreciate your support, Mr T. But this has become personal.

Tsk, tsk, Mr. Bowmann... Almighty Champion of all things British...

Shouldn't that be italicise, according to you and your foolish British spelling?
No.

And explain why you think official English is foolish.

I ain't no dictionary geek but it looks fine to me, and it's in the Cambridge dictionary also.

Anyways, besides the bickering...

We are going to get a synapsis of the fire-walking episode, aren't we?

Sure, criticize her, but it seems you wanted to marry her in the thread in the 'Meet Opponents' forum.

So I have done the walk last night and all I can say......... is that it was great

I really enjoyed it and have not been burned at all....raised £ 400 ($ 900) for the trust ...so I'm pleased with myself.

The reason why you don't get burned in case you are thinking:

(1) Wood is not a good conductor of heat...it a bit like when you cook with a saucepan..if the handle is metal it conducts the heat and you hand can get burned. If its wood, you are ok

(2) The sweat on your feet evaporates taking the heat away with you

(3) Having a postive mind set and not being scared.

(4) Walking fast and not standing on the heat which was 1245 F over 15 feet.

If anyone gets the chance they should have a go...its very empowering
