... so it will be presentable for holiday visitors.

I seem to be lacking discipline however. I finish a little task, then waste time online, then another little task, more wasted time. At this rate I will never be done.

I need motivation. Or some help.

Is anyone else a procrastinator like me?

Wait, did I just write that? If not, why is it an exact description of what I am doing?

Are you making better progress than I am? I need to at least finish upstairs to have any hope of getting done this weekend.

My tree is non-decorated. I put it in the stand a few days ago, but have yet to even put the lights on it.

I suck.

I don't have any hope of getting done this weekend. But luckily my parents won't arrive until Friday. And also luckily I don't have several floors.

It helped a lot that I had the piano tuner here yesterday, that forced me to get the living room and kitchen into a presentable (at least superficially) state.

You already have a tree? I probably won't get one until the 23rd. And even if I'd get it earlier, I wouldn't decorate it prematurely. That's just wrong.

I'm tempted to organize a procrastination contest ...

... maybe next week.

Not decorating the tree until Christmas Eve is not procrastination, it's tradition. My parents often got their tree several days in advance, but it was never taken in and decorated until the 23rd or 24th.

How long do you leave it decorated? I know other people who decorate the tree on Christmas eve, but we've always done it ahead of time.

I cheated, decided decorating the palm tree in our courtyard was good enough.
