On RHP it's possible:

User 410715 has long gone, but his name still appears on Page 1 of the General Forum as the original poster in Thread 96229.

So is User 279569, although perhaps he's not as gone as some would think. 🙂

It seems the way to immortality is to create a new chain-letter thread.
