I have a friend (who really isn't me, honestly) that has a problem. He's a hopeless gamer nerd. I don't care that he spends way too much time playing World of Warcraft; however, he also is using the slang in real life conversations. Things like "lol," "pwned," "noob," and "ROFL," are relatively common. Now it's not my problem if he doesn't want to get laid anytime soon, but I worry that this slang will drive me into a murderous rage, and his RPG life will be cut short.

Anything I can do to cure him?

Sabotage the game. Throw away some needed files. Scratch the disc if on disc. He will unknowingly thank you for it in a few years time.

Get him into rhp... he'll end up having no social life either way, though some chicks actually do like chess playing fellows ๐Ÿ˜›

Edit. Unless you loose matches as the one I'm being defeated at by Aiko ๐Ÿ˜ณ

Edit 2. C'mon, mate, finish it! ๐Ÿ˜ž

But should I do in the cover of night, or hire someone? Or should I just do it openly?

On further though, he could just repurchase the destroyed program, and his account would still be on the server. This would only suceed in wasting his money.

Good point. Have you tried shock treatment?

As a fellow player of your friend, I would suggest hiding the game in a box that involves a lock and key. Just don't lose the key.

Let him talk like that around jocks. I'm guessing you're in High school or Junior high. He'll be in constant pain from wedgies, and every girl in town will knowof him and his small penis.

"Wedgies", do they still do that?

From the news I figured they are all just going to school now packed and loaded.

Introduce him to a stunningly good-looking girl, who will mock him and make fun of his immaturity. When he comes to you for advice/consoling, tell him that if he'd only pull his ass off the couch and try to have a social life, maybe girls like that would go out with him.

It will either cure him or create yet another misogynist who will probably become an alcoholic.

I've seen it happen.

Only the kids that listen to rap bring guns to school.

Or the kids Marilyn Manson infects.

just give him a long sarcastic look every time he does it, and wait for the uncomfortable silence. nothing like peer pressure to shape the young mind.

Try to get him into bed, citing his gaming skill as the root of your overweening passion.
