Good ol' Pavlov never fails...

So, why not conditioning your friend's behavior? Next time he comfortably flats his butt in front of the computer, produce something nasty (a noise, a smell, a burn, etc.) -after a few days, all you'll need to do is to repeat the noise/smell/burn and he will automatically reject playing the game.

[Warning.- He may develop convulsions or other harsh reactions to the game but, hey, the goal is not free him from that RPG hell, isn't it?]

I don't care that he spends way too much time playing World of Warcraft; however, he also is using the slang in real life conversations. Things like "lol," "pwned," "noob," and "ROFL," are relatively common. Now it's not my problem if he doesn't want to get laid ...[text shortened]... rderous rage, and his RPG life will be cut short.

Anything I can do to cure him?
Why are you hanging around with him?

Are you simply in denial about your own gaming nerd identity?

Have you seen clockwork orange?

Wedgies still exist to the person who asked.

And to the thread creator, want to go to France with me and blow up the world of warcraft servers to save millions of lives?

Of course! 😵

Among my favorite movies are 'Sheltering Sky', 'Bitter Moon', 'Los Olvidados', 'Trainspotting' and by all means 'A Clockwork Orange' 😉

If he's your friend his personality shouldn't bother you. If it does, maybe he's just not the type of friend you want.

I mean, you've discussed about it and he still doesn't share your view so since there's no point in forcing him, just leave him alone.

As for you, hang out with your other friends and let him stay home and play WoW if he wants. For some people it seems that's as much social life as they want for the moment.

Every time he talks in this way, set your hedgehog on him. He won't be able to play games if he's got no arms. 😉
