It's probably a coincidence but 4'33" expressed in seconds is 273 seconds, and -273 is absolute zero on the Celsius scale. Cage also gave us 0'00", described as "a solo of indeterminate duration performed in any way by anyone." That piece could represent absolute zero on the Kelvin scale. Cage never confirmed any of this.
