I think there needs to be some element to integrity that's a little less subjective than this. I think integrity has a moral aspect and can't just be about personal consistency for its own sake.

Agree. If you are a serial killer don't holding oneself accountable to one's own principles. Just stop killing people.

I was going to make exactly the same point but I was going to use a burglar never failing to keep his promise to himself to sniff his victims' underwear before leaving the scene. Thank you for making it unnecessary for me to put that image in people's minds.
