I don't see much point in quantifying intelligence. No one would think of taking a test and quantifying imagination, for example. But imagination was the key to Einstein's breakthrough ideas on relativity.

Drop a Nobel Prize winner and an Aborigine, naked, into the Outback, 300 miles from the next civilization, and come back 6 months later. Which one is more ...[text shortened]... wouldn't be soul, rock n roll, blues, gospel, motown, or a whole lot of jazz, without those people.
You are right on both points.

* It isn't really helpful to try to qualtify intelligence. However it is done, and people should at6 least know what IQ means (And I loathe the sensationalism on ultra-high IQ values.)

* Creativity is a major component of a succesful scientist (and artists, and even therapist).

I'd like to know where one can find a legitimate IQ test to take. I've taken a few on the internet and (not surprisingly) the results have varied wildly.
For a valid IQ test you need to go to a specialist and pay. Or you take the MENSA test, this is a valid IQ test overseen by certified specialists.

Especially go those those ads which say: If you can solve this you have an IQ of 180 and it is a trivial puzzle...

I refuse to answer the following sort of question, which typically appears on such tests: three numbers are given, x,y,z, and you're asked to provide "the next number in the series." ANY number could be 'the next number' for some series, and there is no proof that no possible algorithm could produce any next number, given x,z,y. Basta.

I'm not interested in finding a pattern anyone else would find too, given enough time or a hint. I'm much more interested in finding patterns other people don't see, and there is no test for that sort of intelligence.

I have heard that the level of intelligence is directly proportional to the understanding of what is good and what is evil. The less someone knows about these concepts, the less intelligent they are considered to be; conversely, the more one understands them, the higher their perceived intelligence.

Your response is too simple. Lucifer is brilliant, as his name suggests. He possesses comprehensive knowledge of evil. Anything he lacks knowledge of must be good. Therefore, his intelligence must be extraordinarily high, since he also knows all good simply by mere deduction; which is the takeaway by reasoning, combined.

However, the actual comprehension of what constitutes good and evil for mortal souls significantly diminishes our intelligence level. This is especially true when we mistakenly equate good with evil and vice versa. Ergo, many times it's better not to think we know, and just leave it there, resting on ignorance.

And since you have an IQ of a crumpet, that's good going.
We are quite the pair I have IQ of a crumpet according to you and you move like a turtle, only the turtle may win a race, we could actually put bets on it. I am not even a betting Man, but would give the turtle 10 to 1 odds to beat you. πŸ™‚ πŸ˜›

Psychiatrists tested a number of Nazis after WWII to see whether they were either monsters or stupid. They were neither. They were of normal cognitive ability and normal understanding of the nature of good and evil. What they were was indoctrinated by a toxic ideology.

No, turtles and tortoises are completely different animals. One lives on land, the other the sea... Quite different.
