I've been a Maiden fan since grade school and enjoyed seeing them tour the states in the 80's and watched the tours get smaller and smaller to near non existent currently..in the states..Does anyone else out there miss Maiden? Are they perhaps on the rise again in the states? Thoughts? Discussion...

aerosmith... acdc, pink floyd... skynyrd... van halen, zepplin, foreigner, bad company, guns and roses, bob seger, def leppard and all the other bands that have talent will be remembered and played long after the iron maiden is long gone...
EDIT: there's a thought for ya... 🙂

i know they did a tour of the UK last year but I couldn't tell you about the US.
Great band though - seen them live a couple of years ago and they still rocked even though they are all about as old as my grandad.
Originally posted by MCAIt was Blaze Bailey that sang while bruce was away...Janick gers is still there, they have three guitarists now though as Adrian Smith rejoined also.

Nowadays the only heavy stuff I have time for, apart from the occasional random sortie into black metal, is Motorhead. Lemmy Kilminster from Colwyn Bay...He's the liveliest dinosaur in town.
The Blue Oyster Cult also appeals to me, but I don't think they're heavy metal...
A literary link between Motorhead and the Blue Oyster cult is writer Michael Moorcock--he put Lemmy, his pal, in one of his novels, and wrote a few songs for the other. Thankfully I'm too young to have grown up to Hawkwind...
