What amazes me more is the game he has left is from a tournie that started in 2003!! Tournament 55

He's already won that tournament - it says. Strange that it hasn't been finished though.


I get it now - if he agrees to a draw he gets knocked off the top spot - maybe he wants to retire at the top. 😕

I think his medical problems, which caused him to quit professional chess, may be causing him to even have to quit playing here. That'd be too bad of course, because he's a brilliant player, but I don't think he would just stop playing because he'd not like it anymore. He's too much of a fighter for that. His last game he'll NEVER draw, he's gonna win taht one I'm absolutely certain.

But yeah we probably have to congratulate someone with reaching the top spot in the list! 🙂 Still no loss, just amazing!

edit: I'd have to add "soon" to the other line about Weyerstrass

He has won the tournament on points alone, and even losing that game wouldn't alter the final outcome. 🙂
