well yesturday I was trying to clean up some stuff on my computer and since I already had all my stuff I downloaded from lime wire on my real player, I deleated the lime wire songs. Now when I go to play any of the songs I downloaded from there I get an error message. Now it says that the songs are there and how long they are but it doesnot play them. but they must still be there because when I tried another jukebox on my computer it plays like 5 percent of the total clip does anyone out there know how to fix this problem?
I've tried contacting limewire but that got me nowhere they have no email and the phone number I found was also a dead end.

limewire is full of virus, try BitTorrent.
here's some information about it:

and you can download it here:

Originally posted by Sicilian SmaugSound advice. I have used soulseek for 3 years nearly without any problems. And unlike most peer to peer programs, it lets you utilise fast download speeds without having to build up points like a lot do. It also covers every genre you can possibly think off. I have never failed to find a song on soulseek, no matter how obscure.
Surely if one sticks to downloading only mp3 files, then no harm can be done? A friend's son downloaded a nasty virus from limewire but that was from some exe. or similar file. Stay away from anything but mp3, wav etc and all will be ok.
I use Soulseek myself, the best around for my sort of music. Tho I do use Limewire to download the occasional chart song I like.

That's very true. Those into mainstream music should look elsewhere, the ease with which I've found thousands of early 90's underground tunes is unbelievable. My only gripe is with the wishlist. Many times I've had a song listed on my wishlist with no results for a few weeks then when I just search for it normally one night I get lots of results. Prob ...[text shortened]... ly filters out most dodgy file types by default so you couldn't download them by accident.
