    The answer is of course: No.

    The argument is as follows: The most a single King can achieve against the opposing King is to block it on one side, preferebly even in the corner. But then at least two adjacent fileds ahve to be covered by the attacking piece and the Knight (or a bishop) can only get one. So even with worst play a checkmate is impossible. But a stalemate is difficult bt possible.
