Hey folks!! Is it just me or are the forums dull lately. Is it the new
server or is it Dave going back to work? Where are the poems, the
funny stories, the discussing on which beer is best. Is everyone out at
Red Hot Pawn Live? If that is the case maybe I need to take the time
and down load the needed programs to find you all.

No John, it isn't just you. There are moments it is really dull in here.
Why don't you tell us a story? I like stories 🙂

Julia,
I 'm very bad with stories. But, I sure like to gather around the
Red Hot Pawn fire to listen to them a lot.

how about the story where I got lent a tent this morning for the
weekend, put it up in my office to see if all the bits were there, lay
down in in to see how long it was, and woke up 2 hours later... and I
don't think anybody noticed (I hope).

I once played Chess in a full chemical suit during a war game. Behind
closed door with my commander, Requirement of the War Game, we
had to wear gas mask for a full eight hours. I wish he played chess
here. He was an easy win for me, unlike most folks here.

Neat story!

Our office has a tent set up in residence for our on'site three year old.
He's a real trip, too. He's memorized most of the dialog, songs and
dances from Sound of Music, Mary Poppins, Singin' in the Rain, and
most of the animated Disney films.

Anyway, takes a pretty cool boss and environment to allow that. What
other in-tents stories are out there? Nyuk, nyuk!

These forums are so dull I fell asleep halfway through your post. We
need another Baron Von Munchousen around here, or a (gasp)
xenophobe. It was so fun hating them; its not the same with sintubin
and Schliemann, I'd rather have a beer with our current leaders.
Where have all the antagonists gone ...(chorus: long time passing).

Half in jest,

Bennett

Just had a double–take there – think I've missed quite a lot of posts: Dave's back to work? Long
may the dullness last then! I always prefer beer that's in date when possible but...

Yes, Dave is back to work. I'm glad for him and Becky. But sure has
made the forum quiet. Anyone want to fill in the gap? I can't. I dont
have the gift of gab that Dave has.

I hope that latest little tale of my tourney woes enlightened ya a
bit...and yes me going back to work has really interfered with my RHP
time dammit!! If I could just lose that bad habit of eating I wouldn't
have to work...well and supporting my family...and having chess
books..and well...damn...I have to work...oh well.

But I will be on here as much as possible.
