Not at all.

It's a question of respect; you respect the site, and want to see it thrive. There are others who not only can't say the same, but USE your respect for the site to annoy you, and provoke a response.
Thank god for that, do you know how hard it'd be to get a girl if you've got a hairy nose 😛

I care. Economics abilities or choice should not impede an idea. That is what freedom of speech is about. The right to an opinion. It doesnt mean that the opinion has to be followed but it should at least be heard. That is a key to improvements and success IMO.

People should ask themsleves when the tone of the board changed, and why.

I really don't want to make this a clan issue, but to be honest I used this board for months before someone mentioned the PFC (as was); I had no idea it existed. I joined, left again, and rejoined a few weeks later.

I can say with 100pc confidence that there really never was any PFC clique, or PFC "domination", or anything like that. It was just a resting home for some of RHP's more vocal and (generally) funny posters.

Forget the rec system; it's irrelevant. It's the fact the forums (and not just the clan forum) have become so full of boring, trolling, flaming rubbish that is the real shame. It really never was like that in the past. I doubt very much I'd join RHP had I not been here before it started.

It's not the conflict I mind; that can be fun (witness the No1/Ivanhoe spats of the past). It's just the fact it's predicated on a lie, and it's so utterly dull.

The thing is, Russ generally listens to people here and cares about what they think.

Recently, I believe, he's got incredibly frustrated by the state of the boards, which he considers is driving people away. The boards have always been a major selling point of RHP.

He's taken quick action because something he has invested a great deal in is being (in ...[text shortened]... lthough it should never have come to that.

Don't people have lives to be getting on with?

That is good to know. Thanks for being so honest.

If you're going to edit my posts, at least use real words.

You should probably take a long look at yourself and ask what you add to the site; also, whether gimping for a troll is good for your self-esteem.

Whatever. I'll let the facts speak for themselves.

People can look at this site and see what people have contributed. If you take PFC members, for example, Nordlys has run the photo competitions; Darv has for years been one of the best posters on the site; Phlab gives up his time to help moderate the site; The Slow Pawn has led one of the most successful chess-playing clans here with great dedication; I've done very little, but I did run the prediction league during the World Cup, which involved a lot of time and effort.

Compare that with your three clans. Their sole purpose seems to be to annoy people. Apart from (arguably) Skeeter, there isn't a member of any of them who has contributed anything of value to the site.

Either you are a pawn in a game you don't understand, or something much worse.

Exactly the kind of vague, insinuating BS that is ruining the site. If you've contributed anything of note, now would be the time to share.

It would be a bit unfair to tar all the clan members of those perticular clans with the same brush, although i admit it is an unfortunate by-product of all this. To be fair, i think only three or four of their clan(s) have taken part in any major fighting, or flaming, the rest have been fairly quiet.

Then more fool them. When I joined the PFC both No1 and Bbarr were active members; I've had my run-ins with No1, but anyone who thinks they would be part of some childish games, or haven't made this site a better place, obviously hasn't been paying attention.

Look, the point is that the PFC is full of people who contribute to the site, and always has been. To let people use its existence as an excuse to rip the site apart (and make no mistake, that is happening) is a crying shame.

You should start a site called "Democracy Chees and Forums".

Just hope they don't vote you out when the site starts making cash!
