Non subscribers come and go... sometimes they cause a lot of grief to the paying members because they break the rules and stuff. Not saying that you would do anything like that, but I have learned from experience NOT to play non subscribers. ðŸ˜

It has helped my game, if i don't play too many games too fast. I have met a lot of nice people here, it's like a family. The fee is well worth the money.
We have elected people to monitor those suspected of using computers. I would say very few do.

I feel that non subsribers get a hard time in the forums, most subscribers do not have any animosity towards nonsubscribers.
Welcome geckos and coconut, the rhp community is generally a friendly bunch and even though subscription may not improve your chess it will improve your enjoyment of the site immensely.
i felt i wasn't improving for months.
playing here got me back into chess and i bought some books and played a lot but felt i was getting nowhere.
recently it has started to sink in though... i think just playing a lot of games helps you to start recognising patterns and so on that you've read about. and some of the good players here have been very helpful with advice etc.
plus i save money because i'm at home hunched over a computer all evening instead of out partying with my friends. 🙄
