As the custodian of Club 66, I have found it difficult to keep the forum active. There's only so many interesting topics. But enlarging the group hasn't been easy, because most of the active public forum posters are entertaining themselves by provoking others into indiscretions.
It's like media in general - good news stories never sold newspapers.
Well the way I see it if you get a group together who all think the same way and don't have discussions that have opposite views it is going to become boring very quickly.
I've always said you need your good guys, bad guys, piece makers, jokesters, etc., etc., which we have discussed in the past to have activity. That is why the General forum works to an extent, but sometimes does get a bit out of control but everyone is allowed their opinion.
"Debates Forum" can get pretty contraversial topics at times with people having strong ideas about things and facts to back them up on both sides of an issue.
You call it posters entertaining themselves by provoking each others, which is a valid point. You do see how ever the threads get more use than the ones where there is no disagreements.
I believe we've had this conversation in the past. We will probably continue to agree to disagree about this Topic.
