I'm pretty sure you're stuck with it. It kind of makes you wish they would pop up a clear and strong warning when you first open your account here, so you can give it some serious thought before picking a name.

I've asked a few times to change mine, even requested to swap usernames with my old account but no luck. Don't really see the logic behind why he was allowed to change his. Seems maybe the old adage is true - the squeaky wheel gets the grease.

Russ has made exceptions to the rule that you can't change your user name in cases where people had used their real name. So all you have to do is to convince Russ that your real name is A. Wesomo (or something like that).

My first user name was Joe Pussypants. I wrote to Russ asking if I could change it. He wrote back saying, "Well yes, I can see you might want to change that. What do you want to change it to?" I replied, "Make it Frank Pussypants, I'm so tired of everyone saying. 'Hey Joe, what do you know?'

It's not a big deal...I just figured that you would be able to change your name if u wished to.....I do get the confusion that a change might cause but......ho well
