Under customer reviews at the bottom, check out the review by 'Bry5 from Leeds', on 13th April. Is this for real?
6 people found his/her review helpful and 14 didn't, so I guess 30% of the Argos shoppers are as dense as them.

The new advert is the false review.
Buyer beware and long live Barry.
Now I must go and check wiki for my next thought.
Edit: Jimbo, how you doing with that SATA drive, are you still its biatch?

Originally posted by WoodgieThe saddest thing about that is that they might be correct. Consider that the Shopping Channel still makes money... The general buying public is not known for its discerning taste, or common sense.

The latest gimmick is for companies to pay individuals to be on facebook 24/7 to promptly answer any questions directed at them, it gives people the impression that there is a human behind it all and not a spreadsheet.
And it works, the figures would suggest people believe more in a facebook recommendation than in any other type of advertising.
This is why on television adverts you are mostly directed to a facebook page rather than the actual website for a particular company.
They want to be your friend.
Edit: That should kill this thread, moving me closer to Cadwah's champion thread killing position.

seriously though, i had noticed this facebook reference in many adverts now..most folk over 60, with money in their pockets to spend, can only cringe at references that just make absolutely no sense whatsoever..has anyone seen the advert for 'stannah stairlifts' with the 'visit our facebook for friendly advice'.. that is an exciting prospect for most 80yrs old eh...😉

You will be assimilated, young or old.
Just wait until Google really gets stuck into social networking, how do you think they will enforce the true identity policy?
Facebook has a rough idea of the IQ level of most of its users by the games being offered.
Sitting tests without even knowing it.
It is a far cry from the land of ZX81's
Edit: I should be back in pole position with that one.
