Just beat a jerk (from South Korea) on chess.com
Called me a "stupid mussie"
presumably because of NZ support for Muslims?
Sad.

@wolfgang59 saidI set my options to keep chat off on Chess.com. The trade off for getting live games quickly is having to deal scumbags. Not worth it.

@wolfgang59 saidInteresting.....You beat him yet he calls you stupid. I would asked him what that made him since I won the game.

@divegeester saidNo chat.
An ashole.
Did he just come out with it or were you chatting?
@wolfgang59 saidA lot of people don't like it when you go out of book, I love it!!! 😉
No chat.
He was graded about 200 above me.
And my opening was rather unorthodox.
He obviously got upset by that.
@very-rusty saidI was "in book" for two moves!

@divegeester saidIt is surprising how upset people who are higher rated can get when you beat them.
Well you showed him.
@very-rusty saidI recently had an opponent who messaged me in end-game saying “you just keep putting me in check!”

I think a lot of times they under estimate the player they are playing against and believe they have it won before they actually play the game and make silly mistakes.
