Silly.

It used to be Harold Wilson's favourite holiday spot. Remember the good old days when Prime Ministers used to go on holiday in their own country?

Thanks.

If it's good enough for Harold Wilson, its good enough for me. Presumably if Harold went there they must have served a nice pint.
I think he went there for the "Duty Free" pipe tobacco.
A Labour of love. Bless him! 😉

I've been there many times and I love it.
I even met Harold Wilson once - he patted my dog!
And, as he obviously recognised my accent (we are from the same town) he said "Dogs - there's nowt laak 'em is the' lad?".
There - my claim to (almost) fame.

Anyway, there is no duty free there - it's fully UK.
But it is great, with a milder climate than the mainland.
But it can be windy, it's quiet, full of pensioners, and there are no clubs. Actually not much to do at all - but I like it!

Thats a great claim to fame.

Which of the Islands did you stay on? The Mrs fancies Tresco, though I suspect she thinks its Tesco and there will be 24 hour shopping. What would you recommend?

Edit: I'll PM you. I think it will save everyone the boredom of reading me asking you if I should pack me swimming trunks.
awwww...I'd like to know what's there too...oh, and do you really wear trunks?

And when I'm moving in my Hit the North games I tek em off.

I keep me goggles and me verucca sock on though.
haha...does taking em off help you concentrate? If so we'll have to make it a compulsory requirement for all HTN male members
