Isn't it fantastic...

Isn't it fantastic how very different we all are on so many cultural levels and in so many unique personality ways. Isn't it incredible that RHP's flexible format easily accomdates such a wide range of individual site activity preferences and daily comfort zones. Some come primarily to make chess moves in friendly or serious versions of the royal game. Others for reasons linked to global friendship, sociability and conversation on any and all topics under the sun. Many prefer some mix of chess and chat. Site stands ready around the clock to deliver and fill it... whether we come with a barrel, bucket or thimble.

Here's a brief sampling of the wide range of our demonstrated chess move and public forum posting activity preferences from a few easily recognized player/posters of record (profile info as of Sunday noon, 25 July, 2010):

* Coquette: Chess Moves: 99.0% / Forum Posts: 1.0% (367,305 + 3,615 = 370,920 total).

* Very Rusty: Chess Moves: 95.7% / Forum Posts: 4.3% (247,105 + 11,115 = 258,220 total).

* ChessPraxis: Chess Moves: 92.4% / Forum Posts: 7.6% (4,753 + 390 = 5,143 total).

* Frank Burns: Chess Moves: 69.8% / Forum Posts: 30.1% (9,989 + 4,320 = 14,309 total).

* Darvlay: Chess Moves: 69.4% / Forum Posts: 31.5% (43,985 + 19,980 = 63,365 total).

* Greenpawn34: Chess Moves: 50.1% / Forum Posts: 49.9% (4,343 + 4,320 = 8.663 total).

* Grampy Bobby: Chess Moves: 49.5% / Forum Posts: 50.5% (13,294 + 13,545 = 26,839 total).

* Trev33: Chess Moves: 38.7% / Forum Posts: 61.3% (4,921 + 7,800 = 12,721 total).

* Phlabibit: Chess Moves: 33.5% / Forum Posts: 66.5% (13,866 + 27,495 = 41,361 total).

RHP flexibility spells freedom of choice and supports the Latin, 'Suum cuique' (to each his own). I for one appreciate Russ & Chris' accomplishment in building this site and their ongoing committment to its meanigful enhancement.

this sort of analysis could be valuable...

for instance, give us the ratio of tony hayward's (work on oil spill/play time) breakdown and let's see if this guy, as opposed to any regular mook onna chess website, haz any sort of efficiency...

or, obama...
or, bunning...
or, southwest airlines...
or, or, or,

'fantastic' may be a bit extreme as a descriptor...
but, what you find interesting IS sort of interesting, inna perverse way...

Gosh Gramps, You have to get yourself out more.

I love stats like this but are there not other more prolific posters.

No1, Raven, Red Night, Swiss,Gambit, Crowley....and there are loads of daily
posters in the Religious Forum.

I agree a magnificent melting pot of people and this forum should self
govern itself,

I've noticed that if anyone is nasty, rude or vile then they quickly get jumped on
by the other guys (and girls).

Perhaps subs should have for this forum only a 'Nay' post button - 10 'nays'
and the post is removed.

But then you might set up a 'holier than you crowd.'

Some bright wit is bound to appear with 'Take it to the Site Ideas Spanky'

Who is Spanky? User 2287 has not moved for over 3,000 days
and never made any Forum posts.

He did however get mated rather nicely with two Knights. Game 9236

Final position

Now some wit will appear will appear saying:

"Take it to the Chess Forum Spanky."

I wish they would make up their mind.

So who is, or who was Spanky?

(take it to 'Puzzles and Posers Spanky) πŸ™

there are numbers which you did not include which are far more telling; like the fact that I have been here 10 months longer than you, and you have twice as many posts as me. Or VR who came here a month later than me and has 60% more posts, though I will give him credit for being a chess animal and playing 4 times plus the amount of chess that I do.

I guess what I'm saying is...get a lifeπŸ˜›

Au contraire. Spanky was the mater.

Cheers Daemon, that clears up matters.

OOoops! Yes it was indeed Spanky who mated with the Knights.

Thank you Handy Andy you are indeed handy to have around.

(sorry Spanky, a hasty error) 😳

Only "a brief sampling" to illustrate a wide range of familiar member interests,

in context, without any particular agenda or self serving comparisons in view.

"Gosh Gramps, You have to get yourself out more."

In recent emails got the same advice from CA Songbird and Lady Greenpawn.
