I was sitting at my laptop,

Focused and calm, deep into a game of chess

I saw a brilliant move

I moved swiftly into position for a checkmate....God, I am good!

I clicked the move button and just as the board flicked into my next game I realized.....

I was black, not white and I had just sacrificed my queen and thrown the game away..........

Woe is me......:'(

Isnt it because we are in such a hurry?
I have made so many moves like that - and there goes my game! We must use the Analyze game option more often u know? It really helps!!!

it does indeed..

but if we assume on average everyone makes the same mistake, overall, they'll cancel each other out, and no one will be better off than the other..! look at the bright side..

No...that is what was awful, I was very carefully plotting against myself....Does that make me a traitor?

That's impossible.

I agree. Load of twaddle. If you try to move the opponents piece it won't let you. Even if you could move your opponenets pieces, there is some severely flawed logic in your statement.

I moved my piece, a queen into a position where the bishop had it been mine would have delievered check mate....unfortunately the bishop was not mine and he assissinated my queen.....

Thank you. Now could you be a bit more concise in future please!? 😛

And look on the bright side of it: -
In chess, there are no losers, only winners and learners.

I will promise to be more concise in the future if you promise not to be such a twit!
